Difficult Access

Difficult access areas

Difficult access requires highly experienced rope access technicians and riggers to take on any type of maintenance or inspection work. Using latest rope access equipment and techniques allows access to most sub surface and confined space environments in order to perform Difficult Access Inspections, surveys, investigations and assessments of structures.

Rope access is a quick and cost effective alternative for complicated work positioning compared to using scaffolding or powered access vehicles. Examples of undertaken difficult access work varies from technical and photographic inspections, building and roof maintenance and repair, windows and facade cleaning, bird and pest control, leak tracing, external plumbing and more.

Confined spaces

A confined space can be any enclosed area where there is a potential risk of death or serious injury form a hazardous substance that gathers in low or high points of space or lack of oxygen. This can be caused by chemical reactions of some soils and the atmosphere, rust in steel tanks or by a reaction between a cargo load and oxygen in lorries, ship holds, tanks or vessels. The risk of entering a dangerous confined space may be poisoning, fire, explosion or drowning. Confined spaces such as light wells and narrow spaces between buildings are often inaccessible by any other means apart from rope access.

Training and skills

Our workers are trained in confined and difficult access problems and offer an effective industrial rope access solutions that allows them to carry out inspections and repair work. Because of the dangerous nature of these tasks, our workers are trained in escape and rescue procedures to maintain safety and minimise the health risks.
